WOW...what a week! Last Monday, I flew to Virginia for a week of fun and meetings with my fellow co-workers. Here's a pic of the group:

The pictures from the week say it all. Check out pics from the rest of the week at:
My Co-Workers in VA
My meetings ended on Friday afternoon and I then hungout with my friend, Elise, and her family until my flight on Saturday afternoon. On Friday evening we went to Herndon's Friday Night Live in the local park. Here are a couple of pics of the evening and a short video too:
Elise and daughter, Haley

And a video of the moment:

Then on Saturday (July 21st), we woke up early and Elise and her friend/neighbor, CJ, graciously drove me to Washington DC to see the sights. Here are some pics from our day:

And my favorite picture of all time (I think you know who I'm with and where I am):

We also stopped by the Dept. of Forestry and Smokey the Bear was there! Here's a short video of him:

On my flight back to LA last night, Giovonni Ribisi was on my flight from my lay over in New Orleans to LAX. There was a slight delay and a bunch of issues on the flight itself, but at least I saw a celebrity! Here's a pic of Giovonni:
It was also great to be back in LA, but only because I missed my husband. I was pleasantly surprised, when he picked me up at the airport and handed me a dozen roses!

Anyway, we'll be moving in two weeks and my birthday is this Thursday (July 26th), so much more news and fun to come! Although it may be awhile before I update my blog with all the packing and moving we have to do before we leave for the Bay Area.

This has been and will be a very busy month. I'll be flying out to Reston, VA next week to meet with co-workers from all over the US and a friend of mine (Elise), who is originally from San Jose. As usual, I'll take lots of pics.
I'm really going to miss my co-workers here in LA, but I'll come down and visit as often as possible. Plus, I'll need to come back for TV show tapings!

Normally blogs are written about specific subjects and are not necessarily an online diary, such as my site. So, I’ve decided to mix my blog up a bit and will start adding my interests and hobbies too. So you can explore along with me…or not.
SmileyCentral.com
Please know that I’m somewhat of an activist, but completely understand some people may be a tad bit judgmental, and not agree with my beliefs or interests. This is fine by me, as I know we are all “special” in our own way. That said, I am all over the board and look forward to meeting new people, seeing new places and learning new things every single day of my life, and documenting it all here on this site. So, here are a few sites, which have recently sparked my interest:

1) I’m always asked what I do for a living and/or what my current career is, so here is a short video about the company I work for: Where I Work
I assist with the Implementation of these customers, who move into datacenters.

2) My cousin is an instructor for a groundbreaking movement technique that will help you discover a great new way to workout and an inspiring body attitude. This ORIGINAL workout inspired by yoga, ballet, striptease and pole dancing, promises to empower, enlighten and change the lives of women everywhere! Today for her birthday, she decided to get all her friends together for a free S Factor session and watch her and her fellow instructors dance too! All women must check out the S Factor website at: S Factor

3) I also do my best to help Save the Planet. I feel the best way to save the planet is to learn as much as we can about how to give our children and our children’s children a cleaner environment to live in. So, I continually educate and inform myself through documentaries, books and various websites that spark my interest. Here are a couple of websites, I’ve found useful:
Resources to create a Green website
World Changing

4) Dave and I recently watched the movie Sicko, by Michael Moore and I'm a real "Michael Moore" fan, so I had no choice but to LOVE this movie ;) This movie is not only great, because Michael is the best documentarian ever, but also because the movie is an honest opinion of our health system (or lack of it) in the United States. I strongly suggest watching this movie and let me know how you feel about our health system and/or the movie. Here's the link: Sicko
Last weekend, Dave and I drove up to San Jose. On Saturday, we stopped by my friend, Darla's place, for her housewarming party. My brother, Emily and Katie also stopped by the party. Here are a few pics from the party:

On Sunday, we visited with my brother, Brian, and niece at his place in Fairfield, where we will be staying for a few weeks, when we move back. I had not seen Emily since her birthday on February 26th, so it was soo great to see her again! When I lived in the Bay Area, I made it a priority to see Emily every month since she was born. Here's a few pics of our visit:

Emily snapped this pic of me

I worked on Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday night, we went to dinner with Jenni and Tyler (and Tyler's friend), then we went over to The Boulevard (a local bar in Los Gatos that Darla bartends at) and met up with Katie and Todd. We didn't take any pics :(

On the 4th of July, we met up with Darla, Chuck and Chuck's kids (Hunter & Spencer) and went to a couple of BBQ's and watched the fireworks in Downtown SJ. Here are pics from the night:
Spencer, me, Darla, Chuck and Hunter

I worked again on Thursday, then we headed back to Los Angeles. We made a stop in Pismo Beach to watch the sunset on a very beautiful summer evening:

Now we are back in Los Angeles and I'm about to head out to my cousin, Kristina's birthday party! A few of my friends have birthday's this month (including me), so I'd like to wish a Very Happy Birthday to Denise, Deirdre and Kristina!!
